About The Broker Bench
Who publishes this site, what it covers, and how it pays for itself.
The Broker Bench is an independent research site about platforms for active trading: retail brokers, CFD providers, proprietary trading firms and the software they run on. We test them against apublished checklist and publish what we find, including the parts companies would rather we left out.
What we cover
Brokers and trading platforms, prop firms and funded-account programmes, and the practical questions that come with them: which regulator actually holds the licence, what a position really costs to hold overnight, who accepts traders from a given country, and whether a company that looks new is in fact a rebrand of something older.
We do not cover long-term investing products, retirement accounts or cryptocurrency exchanges. Those are different questions for a different reader.
How we pay for it
Some links on this site are commercial. That is set out plainly in ouradvertising disclosure, and it does not affect scores or rankings; themethodology explains exactly what does.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we want to know and we will fix it with a dated note on the page. Write to us via the contact page. Brokers disputing a finding are asked to point at the specific claim and provide evidence; we publish corrections, not removals.
