FxPro review

FxPro UK Limited holds an FCA authorisation that includes safeguarding and administration of client assets, a custody permission most CFD brokers do not carry. Around that sits a cluster of four separate FCA warnings about firms using the name.

Most brokers we look up produce one register entry and, if we are lucky, one warning. This brand produces six entries, and telling them apart is the point.

The permission almost no CFD broker holds

FxPro UK’s FCA authorisation carries seven regulated activities. One of them is unusual for this kind of firm:

Safeguarding and administration of assets (without arranging)

Customer types: Retail (Investment), Eligible Counterparty, Professional.

That is a custody permission. Most retail CFD brokers hold dealing and arranging permissions and nothing more, because they never hold assets as a custodian; they hold cash in segregated client accounts, which is a different regulatory obligation. A firm carrying the custody permission has been assessed against a stricter standard on client asset handling.

It is not a promise about anything else, and it does not make one broker better than another on cost or execution. It is a fact about what the supervisor has examined, and it is on the public register.

Authorised No longer authorised On the warning list FxPro UK Limited · FRN 509956 FxPro Financial Services Ltd · FRN 477418 FX Pro Europe (clone) Hallmark Fxpro FXPROINVESTCRYPTO · FXPROINVESTRADE includes safeguarding and administration of assets Six entries, one brand. Four of them are other people, and the register is the only place that says so.
The top row is the firm. The bottom three lines are what a well-known name attracts, and they are the reason to check the FRN rather than the logo.

Four warnings is a signal about the brand, not the broker

An entry marked (clone) means someone copied a real authorised firm’s details to appear legitimate. The other three are names built around the brand.

A cluster like this says the name is valuable enough to be worth stealing, which is a backhanded compliment and a practical hazard. Anyone searching the brand can land on any of the six, and four of them have no supervisor, no Financial Ombudsman Service and no FSCS.

The defence is mechanical and takes a minute: take the firm reference number from the site you are actually on, and look it up on the FCA register. If the FRN is not 509956, you are not dealing with the authorised UK entity.

The rest of the group

The Cyprus entity holds CySEC licence 078/07, one of the older Cypriot investment firm licences, and serves EU clients with the ICF compensation scheme behind it. The FCA record for that same company shows No longer authorised, which is the normal outcome of the post-Brexit split rather than an enforcement event.

Nothing appears in the Australian register.

Retail leverage under FCA and CySEC is capped at 30:1 on major FX, per leverage limits by regulator. An offer far above that is not either of these two entities.

What to check before funding

The FRN on the page you are on, against the FCA register. This brand is the strongest argument on the site for doing that.

Which entity your client agreement names, because the UK and Cyprus companies carry different compensation schemes.

What the custody permission does and does not cover for your account type. It is a real distinction and it is not a guarantee of anything about execution or cost.

What we checked, and what we didn’t

We read the FCA register entries for FRN 509956 and FRN 477418 including permissions and customer types, the FCA warning list, and the CySEC and ASIC registers we hold locally, on 21 August 2026.

We have not opened an account, deposited money, or tested spreads, execution or withdrawal times. caution here reflects that we have not been a client and that the brand carries an unusual number of impersonators, not a finding against the authorised firm.
